Wilde Meyer Gallery

Joseph E. Young

Joseph Young's works have portrayed the Southwestern landscape as a Garden of Eden where exotic plants and often domestic animals such as cats and dogs freely interplay with numerous colorful flowers, butterflies, fish and birds. In these compositions, birds hide within foliage and flowers and fish often float on the water, as one painting’s title explains, "Fish Want to Fly".
