| Doug Weigel designs and produces two and three-dimensional sculptures and furniture in steel and other metals. Inspired in the middle of the 1980’s, after he became fascinated with the petroglyphs in the Lake Powell area, he started making steel sculptures of the drawings he had seen on the rocks, giving them to family and friends. It wasn’t long before he was going to petroglyph sites all over the region and then making sculptures, furniture, and home accessories for which he is well known for. His work has been sold across the country through fine art galleries for the past twenty years. | |
