| "Painting sets me free to express myself and explore the world that
surrounds me. Living in Santa Fe, New Mexico the visual vista landscape is ingrained in my existence. The freedom of open space, sky and color,
I love it! I work both on-site, plein air, and in-studio. The energies of
each environment seem to feed off each other and help create paintings
that speak to my audience and me. It is most important that my work
expresses more than just a picture. When I begin a new work I start with a feeling or color in my mind. As the painting develops its own existence it speaks to me through the colors and forms that emerge on the canvas." |
