Kari Rives

Kari Rives uses different ceramic glazes and processes to create sculptures with complex surfaces and textures. “My subject matter has been consistent throughout: figures – both imaginary and representational - and animals in safe places. I work in varying degrees of abstraction, as I am always intrigued by the idea of giving a sense of life to the things that are inanimate.”
